A new cruise line is coming to our shores, with its eyes set firmly on the Australian market. On its maiden voyage to Australian waters, Ambassador Cruise Line will dock in Sydney Harbour in February 2024.
Ambassador Cruise Line, the first cruise line to debut in the UK in a decade, will sail into Australian Waters in February 2024, with Ambience to dock in Auckland and Sydney as part of Ambassador’s Grand Round the World Cruise.
Ambassador provides a premium-value, genuine cruise experience, providing itineraries in the Mediterranean, Arctic, British Isles, Canary Islands, and other destinations. From 2023, the cruise line will sail from six new UK ports, including Newcastle, Dundee, Liverpool, Belfast, Bristol, and Falmouth, in addition to its home port of London Tilbury.
Christian Verhounig, CEO of Ambassador, is extremely proud of the Ambassador fleet and service and is thrilled to be joining the Australian market after a successful initial season in the UK, where Ambassador will welcome passengers from both Australia and New Zealand.
“As we seek to make a big contribution to the tourism sector in the Australian and New Zealand markets, we want to bring back the joy of cruising and instil fresh trust in the industry.”
“Our visitors can relish the premium value cruising experience aboard historic ships, replete with outstanding dining and spectacular entertainment as they explore hidden jewels across the world.”
The Ambassadors fleet presently consists of two ships: Ambience, which began sailing in April 2022, and Ambition, which will sail for the first time in May 2023. The two ships will go to six continents and 58 countries, touching 165 ports and covering 176,195 nautical miles.
Ambience, which is scheduled to arrive in Australia in February 2024, has a capacity of 1,400 guests, 798 cabins, five restaurants serving a variety of locally inspired dishes, including speciality dining options, nine lounges, a swimming pool, a spa, day and evening entertainment, fitness and leisure facilities, and enticing enrichment and lifestyle programmes.
